Kingdomtide: Community

Community –
Would I know it if I saw it,
Met it face to face?
Men and women ministering,
No regard to economics,
No regard to race.

Community –
Would I embrace it
If they allowed me in?
Or would Judgment Spirit bind me,
Bow me low to sin:

“I don’t really like her,”
“Why is that man here?”
“Who, on earth, allowed them in?”
Bent now to pride and fear.

Within Community,
How I long to settle down;
Enact the gifts once given,
Embrace all, all around.

True Community-
Let us find it,
Let us make it,
Let us BE it…

Reflect: “As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male or female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:27, 28.
