Advent Poetry: Mary (#9: Third Week)

Mary…

A revolutionary—
Emptied of self,
Filled with the Babe,
Her own path she made
To Elizabeth.

From demeaning words
She ran,
To embody
A revolutionary plan.

God’s love circled ‘round;
The outcasts, poor, despicables
He found,
To bear faithful witness
To the incomprehensible
Profound.

Mary,
The Revolutionary;
“Yes” changed her world,
And mine, as well.

Grateful.

Reflect:
Luke 1:45-56
Psalm 57

From whom or what do you need to run to be God’s Revolutionary?
