Alive! (Holy Week Reflection: Sunday)

ALIVE!!

dance, sister, dance…

In darkness, dimly shrouded,
grief-spent hours behind,
she moves in silence toward the tomb,
her Lord of love in mind.

Behold! great hope and joy await,
amazingly reborn;
For at Christ’s feet she bends and bows –
It’s Resurrection morn!

Dance, sister, dance!
The Christ you love awaits;
With arms flung wide
says, “Welcome home —
Don’t weep. I’m at your side.”

We, His dear ones, who battle long
through victory, pain ‘mid groans,
will laugh in Christ’s endearing gaze,
It will be Resurrection morn!

Dance, sister, dance!
The Christ you love awaits,
With arms flung wide
sings, “Welcome home –
Come, you are my bride!”
